Executive Summit - Highlights

Program Highlights

For 2011, the ISEA Executive Summit returns to the familiar Sunday-to-Tuesday schedule, offering an outstanding program of business intelligence and enhanced opportunities for networking.

If you're arriving on Saturday, join your colleagues for an informal reception outside the Midnight Sun at the hotel from 6 to 7.

The Summit begins on Sunday evening with a warm southern welcome to Savannah.  The "Low Country Boil Buffet" and reception is a perfect way to greet your fellow members and get acquainted with one of America's most unique cities.

Monday morning the program will feature presentations on Washington and international business opportunities, plus staff briefings on ISEA activities and the annual businmess meeting of the association.

  • Rosario Palmieri, vice president for infrastructure, legal and regulatory policy at the National Association of Manufacturers, will brief the meeting on the prospects for manufacturing issues in the new Congress and the NAM’s policy agenda, as we let him know what’s important to our industries in Washington.
  • Reeve Wolford, senior advisor on new business development for the Brazil-US Business Council will speak about trade with Brazil, including status of the Tupi and Libra deep water oil fields, U.S. efforts to reduce Brazilian import tariffs, how to participate in Brazilian standards development and more.
  • Terri Stewart, an attorney with the Atlanta office of national law firm Fisher and Phillips, will review important management practices and limits in the evolving electronic workplace
The afternoon is given to a scramble golf tournament or a trolley tour of historic Savannah with lunch at Mrs. Wilkes' Boarding House.  An ISEA reception at the hotel will prepare you to board the water taxi to one of Savannah's outstanding restaurants.

Tuesday morning will be dedicated to the economy, as Brian Beaulieu of the Institute for Trend Research returns with his keen analysis of economic trends and indicators, and steps you and your company should take to prosper at any point on the economic cycle.

On Tuesday afternoon, the serious golfers take the field for the annual handicap tournament, or you can join the ISEA fleet to secure bragging rights in the fishing tournament.

The meeting concludes Tuesday evening with our annual Executive Summit dinner, where we will honor the association leadership by installing officers and Board members for the coming year.
