ISEA PUBLISHES REVISED FALL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT USE AND SELECTION GUIDEArlington, VA, July 2004 — For companies whose employees must work at heights, a comprehensive fall protection program saves lives and makes good business sense. The International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) has published a revised Personal Fall Protection Equipment Use and Selection Guide to help employers design and implement an effective fall protection program. Written in cooperation with leading manufacturers of personal fall protection equipment and components, this comprehensive booklet provides practical, hands-on guidance for users and administrators in their selection, use, maintenance and inspection of fall protection equipment. "Falls continue to be one of the top five causes of injuries and fatalities in the workplace, and are the leading cause of such incidents in the construction industry alone," said ISEA Technical Director Janice Comer Bradley. "We hope that employers and employees utilize this information today as a means to prevent an accident tomorrow." In addition to providing guidance on the selection and use of such equipment, the document also contains information on understanding OSHA regulations and American National Standards pertaining to fall protection. Copies of the booklet can be ordered from ISEA by downloading the order form, sending an email with your fax number to Cristine Fargo, or by calling ISEA at (703) 525-1695. The single-copy cost is $15.00. Discounted rates are offered for bulk orders. For more information, contact Cristine Fargo at ISEA. Order the Fall Protection Use & Selection Guide
