Product Group elections were held this year for the Eyewash and Shower, Fall Protection, First Aid, Head Protection, High Visibility Products and RPED Groups. The chairs of Product Groups serve two-year terms, and half the groups elect officewrs each year. Here are the product group chairs for 2007-2008. Suppliers are now eligible for full voting membership. The Board voted at its November meeting to upgrade the membership status of manufacturers of components and materials, who have previously been non-voting associate members. The change will be phased in over a year, with final implementation in 2009. ISEA's newest standard will enhance safety for emergency responders. The American National Standard for High Visibility Public Safety Vests, ANSI/ISEA 207-2006, establishes design and performance specifications and use criteria for high visibility vests used by law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services.
